New Proposed Identity for Hope Lutheran School – Shawnee, KS

The Hope Lutheran School of Shawnee, KS is working on establishing a new brand identity. This is exciting for our team and the client because the school has been around since 1983 and is rich with tradition, programs, activities, values and a strong congregation community.

The mission of Hope Lutheran School is to develop and foster spiritual, academic, physical and social growth in children and to assist them and their families in becoming productive members of God’s Kingdom.

Because of this strong, passionate mission statement, it was very important to place emphasis on the Christ-centered, educational focus in developing the logo. Also, we decided to highlight the fact that the school has been establishing itself within the community for over 25 years.

Please take a moment to review the concept design and provide feedback on the look and feel of the proposed logo for Hope Lutheran School. We feel it is a bold, traditional yet forward and fresh design for the school and will only aid them in continuing to strengthen its foothold within the Shawnee and greater Kansas City area. We’d love to hear your honest feedback!

Thank you.

  5. I like the bold simplicity of it.
The cross is definately foremost and prominent and yet the HOPE pops. The movement provided by the arch (HOPE)adds interest, while the capital letters and contrasting color state the significance of our name.

  6. I like the use of the school colors and the reference to a Christian education.

I think having a consistent branding/logo will be helpful for easy and quick recognition of Hope Lutheran School on our pamphlets, mailings, t-shirts, polos, etc.

  9. I love this logo, as Margie said, so much better than the lion. It shows the purpose of our school, which is to bring hope to the world through Christ. The use of red and gold for the cross just makes it pop, and I like to think that the cross is contained in the circle because it is a symbol for our eternal God. Having established that we are a Christian school, we then let people know we are Lutheran and how long we have been at the work of educating children. Great job!
